Accreditation

Peter Pan Daycare meets or exceeds all of the criteria for early childhood education laid out by the Alberta government. We are proud of this and feel that it serves to underline our commitment to quality child care.

Our before and after school program are licensed and accredited under the Alberta Child Care Licensing Regulation framework that was brought into effect in January 2009. Re-accreditation was completed in April 2015.

Our staff is knowledgeable, highly experienced, and well trained. All of our staff members are certified by the Alberta government.

We ensure that staff/student ratios remain low so that every child receives the support and benefit that comes from interacting with early childhood educators. The Peter Pan Daycare staff treats every child with love, kindness, and respect, and we make the safety of the children our top priority. Our goals are to help each individual child develop positive self-control, to encourage individuality and creative thinking, and to offer choices that enable a child to grow and learn at their own pace.

For more information on child care accreditation, please visit the Government of Alberta's website here. The list of accredited daycare centres and Out-of-School Care Programs in Alberta can be found on the Alberta Human Services website here.

In addition to government accreditation, we conduct our own annual review with all stakeholders to ensure that our program is continually improving and meeting the needs of all our children.
